Based on this article, here are four uses for cell phone:
- Caluclator or number crunching in classes that don't have calculators readily available
- Digital Camera or Digital Video Recorder to record classroom processes or field trip experiences that can later be used for multimedia presentations
- Internet access for research, online activities, blogging, etc.
- Dictionaries - easily look up spelling or meaning of words
Here are some other possible uses:
- As a "homework book" - students can use their calendar to record assignment and homework due dates
- All students, but especislly Special Ed students, can use the Voice Recorder to record class notes for later use
- Download Educational Games: i.e. download tetris as a resource for studying 2-D geometry shapes
